A celebration of a community of Argentine cowboys and cowgirls, known as Gauchos, living beyond the boundaries of the modern world.

MICHAEL DWECK Director/Producer

Michael Dweck is an award-winning filmmaker and visual artist known for his narrative photographic and film projects. His work depicts the beauty and intricacy of human life, while exploring on-going struggles between identity and adaptation within endangered societal enclaves. THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS, which Dweck directed, shot, and produced with filmmaking partner Gregory Kershaw, premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, then went on to be selected for over 45 international festivals including Cannes, Telluride, New York, Zurich, Toronto, and San Sebastian. The film won the Directors Guild of America award and The American Society of Cinematographers awards for Best Documentary, was shortlisted for the 2021 Oscars and BAFTAs and was nominated for several prestigious industry awards including, Producers Guild of America, London Critics Circle, Cinema Eye, Critics Choice, and the National Board of Review. His directorial debut, the feature documentary, THE LAST RACE, premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Dweck is a Sundance Institute Catalyst Forum fellow, and Sundance Music and Sound Design Lab fellow.

Dweck’s projects incorporate mediums ranging from film and sound to photography, painting, and sculpture. His notable photographic series include: The End: Montauk, N.Y., Mermaids, and Habana Libre. Dweck’s works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries worldwide, and are part of international art collections, including the archives of the Department of Film at The Museum of Modern Art in New York/AICP, where two of his long-form television pieces reside. Dweck holds a degree in Fine Art from Pratt Institute. During his earlier career as a highly regarded creative director, Dweck received over 40 international awards, including the coveted Gold Lion at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

GREGORY KERSHAW Director/Producer

Gregory Kershaw is an award-winning filmmaker whose work explores the complexity of humans confronting an ever-changing world and is recognized for its atmospheric and visually-driven approach. THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS, which Kershaw directed, shot, and produced with filmmaking partner Michael Dweck, premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, and then went on to be selected for over 45 international festivals, including Cannes, Telluride, New York, Zurich, Toronto, and San Sebastian. The film won the Directors Guild of America award and The American Society of Cinematographers awards for Best Documentary, was shortlisted for the 2021 Oscars and BAFTAs, and was nominated for many more prestigious industry awards. Kershaw was the Cinematographer and a Producer on THE LAST RACE, which screened at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. In addition, he was a Juror at the 2021 Zurich Film Festival, a Sundance Institute Catalyst Forum fellow, and a Sundance Music and Sound Design Lab fellow.

Kershaw was previously a Senior Producer at Fusion (ABC/Disney/Univision), where he directed, produced, and lensed numerous documentaries on global environmental issues. His work there was financed through a grant from the United Nations Foundation and focused on exploring the impact of climate change on rural indigenous communities throughout Latin America and stories about the current species extinction crisis in remote wilderness locations worldwide. He graduated from Columbia University’s prestigious MFA film directing program, where he wrote, directed, and lensed narrative films.

Cameron O’Reilly Producer

Cameron O’Reilly is an Irish-Australian investor and philanthropist, and the founder of Bayard Capital, an international investment firm based in Switzerland.  Bayard has invested in energy efficiency, software, media and films, through Bayard Productions.  Bayard Productions’ projects past and current projects include:

Be Natural, the Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blache (Co-Executive Producer) about the world’s first female film director; The Outside Story (Executive Producer) a Brooklyn-based comedy; Blind Ambition (Executive Producer) about the Zimbabwean team’s journey to the World Wine Tasting competition; The Truffle Hunters (Executive Producer) a documentary about Italian truffle hunters; Chevaliers in the Mountains, a re-enactment of Chevalier Bayard crossing the Alps in full armour to the battle of Marignan in 1515; Gonzo Girl (Producer), a (barely) fictionalised account of a young writing assistant getting enticed into, and lost in, the crazy world of legendary writer Hunter S Thompson; Gaucho Gaucho (Producer), a documentary about the lives of Argentinian Gaucho cowboys; Dead By June (Executive Producer), about Australia’s most famous motorbike world champion

Prior to forming Bayard, Cameron was CEO of APN New & Media and Executive Chairman of Wilson & Horton, two of the largest media companies in Australia/New Zealand.  In 2008, he received the International Irish Business Person of the Year Award from Dublin-based Business and Finance Magazine.  An Oxford graduate in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Cameron has been a Director of the Sydney Theatre Company, the Salvation Army (NSW), the Australian Ireland Fund, and Deputy Chairman of the National Gallery of Australia.

Matthew Perniciaro Producer

Matthew Perniciaro is a director, producer and writer based in Los Angeles, CA.  Perniciaro founded Diorama in 2022. The production company's first project was 2021’s MOMENT OF TRUTH for Amazon Studios / IMDBtv, which marked Perniciaro’s documentary series directorial debut. The company recently premiered Juan Pablo Gonzalez’s DOS ESTACIONES at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, as well as MY NAME IS ANDREA from filmmaker Pratibha Parmar, NAKED GARDENS from filmmakers Ivete Lucas and Patrick Bresnan, at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. They are currently in production on the feature length documentaries UNTITLED for Interscope / Universal Music, TRACERS, based on the award winning stage play, WELCOME SPACE BROTHERS from filmmaker Jodie Wile and BORN WILD from director Adam McClelland.Throughout his career as a producer, Perniciaro has premiered more than 40 films at top film festivals around the globe, including Sundance, Cannes, Toronto, Berlin, Telluride, Venice, SXSW with titles such as THE FIGHT for Magnolia/Hulu, THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS for Sony Pictures Classics and DISCLOSURE: TRANS LIVES ON SCREEN for Netflix, NATIVE SON, an adaptation of Richard Wright’s famed novel, directed by Rashid Johnson for distributor HBO and Alex Ross Perry’s HER SMELL, starring Elisabeth Moss.

Christos V. Konstantakopoulos Producer

Christos V. Konstantakopoulos, is a producer and the founder of Faliro House, a production company operating in Europe and the United States, and Oxbelly, a nonprofit which supports international storytellers through its annual retreat in Greece and the Greek film industry through year-round trainings in Athens. His latest films include THE TRUFFLE HUNTERS by Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw, KNOCK AT THE CABIN by M. Night Shyamalan, THE LOST DAUGHTER by Maggie Gyllenhaal,  DIGGER by Georgis Grigorakis, and PROLOGOS by Mantas Kvedaravicius.
